Defined permissions, approved tools, logged handoffs and independent checks.
Not every workflow needs every role. The workforce is designed for the actual business process and level of risk.
ROLES & PERMISSIONS
Inspect the work and its boundaries.
Capability
What an AI worker is technically able to do.
Permission
What systems, data and operations the worker is allowed to access.
Authority
What business action or decision the worker is authorized to make.
Technical capability and system access do not by themselves grant business authority.
For consequential actions identified by the agreed authority matrix, recorded approval from the designated human is required before execution. Routine actions may execute only within explicitly delegated scope.
For example, access to a supplier API does not authorize a bank or master-data change. The proposed change must pass the required checks and receive recorded approval from the designated human before the Integration Agent performs that specific write.

Illustrative responsibility chain. Not all nine roles are required for every workflow. Preparatory roles may be combined in a real process; critical checking and human approval must remain separate. Selecting a role only inspects it and never advances or approves the work.
Select a role and inspect its approved tools, evidence, checks and escalation rules. This example has no connected business systems.
EIGHT GOVERNANCE PRINCIPLES
Authority stays defined.
AI workers do not grant themselves additional authority.
Not every workflow should use AI, and not every decision should be automated. AI workers receive bounded access. Failed checks hold the affected action. Consequential actions in the agreed authority matrix require recorded approval from the designated human before execution.
